Baptisms 1813 to 1880
Clenchwarton parish sits west
of King's Lynn on the ancient Wash Way, now the A17, the village is now
by-passed by the busy main road and benefits from a peace missing for
a while. The parish is extensive, covering all the rich agricultural area
enclosed by the Wash embankments. The parish occupations are dominated
with farmers and their labourers. Today little has changed as the predominant
land use revolves around cultivation. |

These records were transcribed from microfilm MF541 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. Generally the filming was clear although care was required in places due to faded ink on the originals. Hopefully few errors will have been made on this transcript. |
