1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Hackford by Reepham All Saints |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Hackford All Saints was peculiar as it was
one of three comprising the small market town of Reepham and adjacent
countryside. The three parishes of Reepham, Whitwell & Hackford met
in the centre of Reepham and indeed at one time all three churches were
situated in the same churchyard - close if not touching. Sadly All Saints
Hackford has now been demolished leaving a sad wall which was not felt
worthy of photographing. Hackford parish covered an area to the west and
south-west of the centre of Reepham, the village being in central northern
Norfolk about 10 miles north-west of the city of Norwich. Hackford Hall
about a mile west of Reepham is the notional centre of the parish and
is surrounded with gently undulating farmland and scattered farms. |
