Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Kettlestone lies in northern Norfolk about
3 miles north-east of the market town of Fakenham and just south of the
A148 which links Fakenham to Holt. The village is largely linear and spreads
southwestwards along a minor lane from its junction with the Little Snoring
to Hindolveston road for roughly half a mile. Kettlestone is tucked away
in peace and quiet yet is only a mile from busy main roads so is becoming
popular with commuters. |

A single standard 800-entry register book covers the period of the transcript and continues beyond to modern times. This register is filmed on Microfilm MF593 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office and from which this transcript was prepared. The film is not of the standards expected these days but the entries whilst faint are readable and as a consequence this was a straightforward transcript to prepare. It is to be hoped few errors will have crept into its production. |
