1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Mattishall Burgh St Peter |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Mattishall Burgh lies in central Norfolk,
a half mile north of its larger neighbour Mattishall. The parish is just
south of the A47 trunk road connecting Norwich with King's Lynn and around
4 miles east of the market town of East Dereham. Mattishall Burgh is nowadays
just a northern appendage to its larger neighbour with housing spreading
continuously between them but no doubt there was a separation in the past. |

A single standard 800-entry register forms the deposit covering the period of the transcript. This register is filmed on Microfilm MF597 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office and from which this transcript was produced. Despite being an elderly film the quality is adequate and as a result this was a fairly straightforward transcript to prepare. There were periods when the hand-writing gave concern but hopefully few errors will have crept into the transcript. |
