1813 to 1880 Baptism Project East Rudham St Mary |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of East Rudham sits in north-west of the county,
it is west of Fakenham on the main A148 connecting that market town to
King's Lynn. The village has always been a substantial settlement and
with its twin, and nowadays contiguous, of West Rudham is very much a
focal point. With the main road running through the twin villages there
is sufficient passing trade to retain the shops, pubs an other facilities
that keep a village alive. |

This transcript was prepared from microfiche
4 to 8 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. The deposit consists
of 3 standard 800 entry ledgers. The first ledger shows impeccable preservation
and has quite exceptional hand-writing, the second ledger is unfortunately
rather faded and is difficult to read in places with much inconsistant hand-writing,
the third is well-preserved but contains the usual mixture of good and bad
hands. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy in this transacript; the standard of filming of the second ledger prevents the usual level of assurance, It is to be hoped few errors will have crept in to the compilation. |
