1813 to 1880 Baptism Project North Tuddenham St Mary |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of North Tuddenham lies in central Norfolk
about 3 miles east of the market town of East Dereham. Formerly located
on the main A47 road which crosses Norfolk from east to west the village
is now thankfully bypassed my a modern dual carriageway road to its south.
Perhaps because of its main road origins North Tuddenham is very much
a linear village stretching either side of the former main road for almost
3/4 of a mile. The area around is a broad almost flat agricultural plain
dominated by cereal and oil seed fields. |

A single standard 800-entry register book covers the period of the transcript and finishes shortly after our termination date. This register is filmed on Microfilm MF1669 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office which was used to prepare this transcript. The film is of a good standard and the handwriting, too, is mostly acceptable to good making for a relatively straightforward transcript to prepare. |
